Would you wear it?

Boyfriend jeans were a very good invention for ladies. They can feel so comfortable yet so flattering and feminine. I remember telling a friend about boyfriend jeans and she asked me if I was wearing Traian's jeans...well not to cause any confusion, they are my jeans. I find that they look very good with heels, but I was amazed how nice they look with flats as well...so casual. So here it is the outfit of the week, perfect for a night out with friends, or for a brunch with the girls.

The goods:

Top: Mango, not available on line but this one is similar
Heels: Mango, not available but I am loving this similar ones a lot

Would you wear it?

I am incredibly proud of myself that I managed to score this Bermudas from Gap when I was in Paris. I love the fact that I can wear them to work with a nice pair of heels and that they can feel so incredibly comfortable but still stylish. And to add to my satisfaction, Garance has a post about the bermuda trend here. Apparently there is a new trend in town.

Look of the week

Wanna know what my wardrobe hides?! I ask because I have that curiosity quite often about other people...Oups! And since I am not anymore at the age where I can swap clothes with my best friends, I have to settle for my own closet. And I don't have a walk in closet, but still, I have my share of clothes. I especially realise that when I have to pack for a trip and I struggle to decide on my outfits and avoid overpacking. With this in mind, I decided to start a new series of posts where I put together items from my own wardrobe in an outfit that I would wear. This way I see the full potential of my closet and maybe I can give you some ideas on what to wear and where to find the goods.

Here it is my holiday outfit that would be perfect for a summer day, when you take your camera for a stroll and you enjoy the surroundings.  I love the sailor stripes and in a maxi dress they are just a winner.

Wedges: Aldo similar this ones
Sunglasses: Prada
Jewellery: Mango necklace , H&M bracelet
Hat: H&M (old) but back this season

White Sneakers

I am not much of a sporty wear kind of girl. I do casual, but not sporty, except when I go to the gym, of course. But with Converse sneakers I feel casual, sporty, classy and so comfortable. I have had a few pairs along the years and my latest addition are the white ones. I normally don't wear white shoes, but when it comes to sneakers they are so perfect. They complete a casual outfit, like the one in the pictures. I wore it for a walk though the city on a chilly Saturday in March.

Prints for Spring

What do you think about prints? Me, I am all in. So far, I only have print pants and one dress and I love them. I am considering a nice jacket as well, but I am still on the lookout. Since I associate prints with Spring, I can't wait for the new season to kick in, but as you might have already noticed, the weather is not there yet (in Europe at least), but I am. So, yesterday I put together an outfit that I wore out for a dinner with friends. It felt classy and put together, but casual as well. I love how all the colours mix together especially the accessories with the print of the pants.

The goodies: Zara pants and ankle boots, H&M blouse, Michael Kors tote and watch,
vintage brooch, Massimo Duti and Mango bracelets.

Boyfriend jeans

I wanted a pair of perfect boyfriend jeans ever since this trend appeared on all the fashion blogs. But as the perfect boyfriend, this pair of jeans doesn't show up when you want them. So after two years of trying and looking for the perfect colour, fit and shape I have found my perfect boyfriend jeans. And again Zara doesn't disappoint, since there is where I got mine. I am pretty sure they will be my go to jeans for a long time. Take a look below.

Sunday recap

Keeping warm and cozy with a big cup of hot tea

How's everyone been lately? I sincerely wish you could answer that, so that I don't feel like I am talking to myself, but I know I am not alone over here (I see it in the blog's stats, you know). Anyways we had a very nice week, mostly because we are just a few days away from our Thailand holiday. It is very hard not to talk about it since we are so excited, but besides that, we attended parties, we enjoyed nice restaurants and planned new adventures. I booked my Rome ticket for a weekend in March, it is a girls reunion and I am beyond happy that we are doing this. Also we watched Silver Linings Playbook and I have to say that this one will stay with me as a really nice movie. It deals with the crazy in each one of us if you ask me. Just watch it! And now a few pictures from this week, mostly in the outfits section since it has been a while now...

You know this dresses that seem to be just one big sack, no shape whatsoever?
Well I have one and I love it, since it is so comfortable.
The color is a plus as well.

It actually seems more flattering from behind if you ask me :)

I decided to challenge winter and wear floral print pants. This as a result of  me
packing my summer wardrobe for Thailand.

That day my creative side decided to step out and enjoy the world. I think prints
do that to you :)

Wishing you all a wonderful week!

Sex and the city inspiration

I don't know about you, but when it comes to Sex and the city, the famous HBO series, I am totally addicted. I saw it I don't know how many times and, let's face it, we all thought at one point in our lives that we could be Carrie. I haven't watched it in the last year, but thanks to my new Pinterest board I revisited a few favorite moments from the show. If you were a fan than I am sure you will enjoy them as much as me. And since this weekend I am planing a girls night at my place, this also helps to set the mood. Wishing you all a fun and stylish weekend!

Campari calendar 2013 or how to look stunning in red

With year end approaching, everyone needs a nice calendar at home. This year it fell on my hands the Campari Calendar for 2013 that stars Penelope Cruz photographed by Kristian Schuller on a stunning visual voyage around superstitions. What I find incredibly beautiful, besides Penelope Cruz, that is one of my favorite actresses, is the fact that they chose red for all her outfits. She looks gorgeous and if makes me think twice about wearing this bright color. I love red nails, red lipstick, red shoes, but an all red dress or outfit is not something I would chose for myself. Maybe you have to be a gorgeous brunette to pull it off...Take a look and feel free to comment.

Life lately

It has been a very nice period for us. We had my parents over for a week almost a month ago and now Traian's Mum is here. We love having family over since we don't get to see them every day so often and the time we spend together is always very precious. Also when we have guests we get to travel a bit around and play tourists. Unfortunately with winter upon us, walking around in the cold is not always fun. But luckily for us there are a lot of nice coffee places where we can sip a warm cup of tea or, my favorite, a capuccino.

And the hat is on

I am a hat fan, and I've been one ever since I remember. As a child I used to wear my grandpa's hats and I remember that for one of our school festivities I had a red hat on that belonged to one of my Mum's friends. She lend it to me and I was really pleased to wear it. Now, when I can chose and buy my own hats I find myself having quite a few. The last one I got is from a Romania Designer, Kristina Dragomir. I discovered her while looking for bridal accessories and I was amazed to see her creations. I decided to wear my new hat with a casual outfit while out in the city. I simply love the color combination.
