Surprise Baby Shower

This Saturday I attended my first baby shower. It was a surprise party that we organized for Louise, our colleague. We schemed for about 2 months and we were so excited to see how the lovely Louise will react. We had a very nice and entertaining evening between us gals and I think the baby had a fun evening as well. We ate, drank, played games, shared experiences and important parenting and baby information, all while laughing and having fun. Our host was Flora, that managed to create the perfect setting for our gathering. Here are some photos from last night, all taken by my dear Dewi from Medejo.

Summer dream

Summer, summer, summer, w i n t e r... oh yeah it is still winter, but I can't help it dreaming about summer days and summer outfits. I have not gone completely mad, I have just got into our honeymoon mode, that is getting very close. In less than 3 weeks, the beaches of Thailand will be my bed, my dinning table, my everything. So now you can understand where all this summer madness is coming from. Planning has begun, Traian is more into the logistics, how to get us from one place to another, as for me, I've started looking into my summer wardrobe. And look what I have found...some old pics from our Swiss summers.

I think that for a few brief moments you forgot about the cold weather, right? Well at least in our harts it's summer. Keep warm!

This post comes after one of my friends suggested I share with you the shops where I like to buy my clothing, my shoes and other fashion items. She said it would be great to exchange some ideas and I couldn't agree more since we are talking about shopping, one of my favorite activities. And I know I am not alone, so please feel free to add to this list all the stores that you have to visit at least once a month :) The order is random, as they popped in my had and I've only put the ones that I visit frequently.

Now that I see it, the list is not that long. I am sure I missed a few, but I will try to write other posts if I make new or old discoveries. And yes, lately I like more online shopping, especially since the Swiss market is not the best when it comes to international brands. Also there is no list that can capture the small boutiques with vintage stuff. There you can find true treasures even more when you find yourself travelling and exploring new cities. Weekend fun

Can you believe it is already Sunday evening? I can't, but I am happy to report it was a good one. Last night I hosted my first girls evening since we moved to this apartment. I had the girls from work come for a casual evening with drinks and food. I didn't go overboard in planning something fancy, because it was not that type of evening. Instead I went for simple food and plenty of white wine. Also I read in Food and Wine magazine that the secret to a nice party is to serve dishes that are delicious weather they are hot, room temperature or even cold. The result was a nice and fun evening with the girls, that I hope we will repeat again.

Sex and the city inspiration

I don't know about you, but when it comes to Sex and the city, the famous HBO series, I am totally addicted. I saw it I don't know how many times and, let's face it, we all thought at one point in our lives that we could be Carrie. I haven't watched it in the last year, but thanks to my new Pinterest board I revisited a few favorite moments from the show. If you were a fan than I am sure you will enjoy them as much as me. And since this weekend I am planing a girls night at my place, this also helps to set the mood. Wishing you all a fun and stylish weekend!
