Italian weekend - Milan and Bellagio

I already told you that last weekend we were going to be in Milan. And despite the heavy traffic and the unbearable heat we managed to get there by Saturday noon. Milan in the summer is a no go if you ask me, since it gets so hot in the city that you can only be inside under the protection of air-conditioning. I only found this out this past weekend. So imagine that shopping was a very good rescue and instead of plenty of water we decided to hydrate with ice cream. One of the reasons why Italy will always be on my top destination list is the food and the beautiful landscapes. You can never get enough of the Italian taste and the dolce far niente. Pictures below are from Milan and Bellagio.

With our good friends!

Traian loves this place, La Premiata Pizzeria, and yes, it is the best pizza and pasta in town!

Traian loves ice cream! This is a statement that is as true as day and night, and because we take a lot of pictures we took pictures of all the gelato he managed to have in one day. And I assure you, a few hours more in Italy and he would have had some more. But seriously, how insanely good can gelato be?

Friday Mindset

Hello my fellow grown ups! Do you feel sometimes like Peter Pan? I do, especially somedays when I know I have a tough day ahead of me. But then something cool happens and everything just fits perfectly together and tadaaaa (trumpet sound) it is Friday. Everything falls into place. Like today, when we will end the week with after work drinks and then tomorrow we'll drive to Milan to meet some close friends. Looking forward to an Italian weekend with good food, good weather and good company.

1. In love with loafers. So colourful and easy to wear.

2. Who here absolutely loves this jacket?

3. The perfect time to have a picnic is now. Some inspiration from this picture.

I am dying to know the smell of this perfume after I read this. Who's with me?

And the royal baby is here and we have a name. The reactions George Costantza from Seinfeld had to the name. So funny!

Here are some tips for someone who wants to get in shape

Have a wonderful weekend!

Outfit post

Do you feel some days like dressing up a bit more than the usual? Well, that was me today plus the fact that I had a new dress, never worn, just sitting in my closet. I got it in Romania for a ridiculous low amount of money in this very small shop. I love the black and white stripes and the texture of the fabric and the cut just remind me of a Oscar de la Renta design. It was not the regular office look, but I am lucky enough to have a workplace where this look goes. Here are some pictures from this morning and not to be missed my face before my morning coffee.

The goods: Dress - vintage, Shoes - Zign, Accessories: Tissot Watch,
Banana Republic and Aldo Bracelets,
H&M Necklace and Mickael Kors bag

Trend alert

There is every now and then a trend that I embrace and that just seems to take over my wardrobe. This is the case with the printed pants that I find so refreshing since we can just ditch for a while our usual simple pair of pants. Don't get me wrong, I love a nice basic pair of trousers, but somehow I always find myself more attracted to the colourful ones. And this week Elle Magazine made a selection of the best printed pants out there so I have to share with you my favourites:

Romanian holiday

We are ending our one week Romanian tour as we are heading back to Zurich today. I love being back home, since it is our time with the family and friends. It is always good to be back to the places where you grew up and that you know so well. It is also a good reminder of the things that matter the most in this world, like the love of your family. We are incredible lucky to have that and to have the roots that we have. With every trip home I seem to discover more about myself and the support and love that we need so much. Not having our family close makes us cherish them more and it makes the time spent together more intense and full of meaning.

We discovered a new beach this past week. Actually it is someone we know that has created this special corner at the Black Sea shore. OHA beach has the best decor and it is so chill and relaxing and no crowds. If you find yourself in the area you should definitely stop by. We loved it.

Next on our stops was my parent's house. It was so welcoming and as always, I fell in love with the garden. My Mum loves this house and gardening is one of her favourite activities. She does an amazing job every year and she manages to have the best flowers and green outdoor space.

Beach day

We are in Romania for a week and the first part of our holiday we are at my in-laws house by the beach. Summer in Romania is very hot and being by the beach makes the heat bearable. We love it, especially hubby who loves his hometown, Constanta. Besides family time, drinks with friends, we also make it a priority to enjoy the sun. With the summer sale in Zara I got this yellowish dress. The moment  I put it on, I instantly feel like I can relax. No better match for a windy day at the beach.
