Suits Fashion

Do you know how sometimes you watch a TV show and you can't stop because it is so cool? Well, it happened again, this time with Suits. We are completely addicted. Since we managed to watch ten episodes in one day, I got so hooked up on the fashion that I was inspired to wear one of my office dresses. I love how the ladies wear fitted dresses, pencil skirts and heels that are a girl's dream. Oh and let's not forgot that men in suits are hot. Did I get your attention?! Until you watch it, here is my Suits inspired outfit.

The Kate Middleton dress

Well, I have a thing for dresses, you got me! The one from today is special because it makes me think of my mother. She is not a big dress fan, but in her younger years she always chose the very simple ones with a cut that would accentuate the waist. So when I saw this dress in a small store in Romania, I loved it. A nice polka dress with a zipper in the back is just adorable, especially if the same model was worn by Kate Middleton. When I bought it, I didn't realise it was one of the Kate dresses, but then when I wore it first, it hit me. This is so Kate's style, (look at me, talking about her like she is my best friend) that a simple google search revealed I was on to something.

Watch: Tissot. Clutch: Mango.

Outfit post

Do you feel some days like dressing up a bit more than the usual? Well, that was me today plus the fact that I had a new dress, never worn, just sitting in my closet. I got it in Romania for a ridiculous low amount of money in this very small shop. I love the black and white stripes and the texture of the fabric and the cut just remind me of a Oscar de la Renta design. It was not the regular office look, but I am lucky enough to have a workplace where this look goes. Here are some pictures from this morning and not to be missed my face before my morning coffee.

Trend alert

There is every now and then a trend that I embrace and that just seems to take over my wardrobe. This is the case with the printed pants that I find so refreshing since we can just ditch for a while our usual simple pair of pants. Don't get me wrong, I love a nice basic pair of trousers, but somehow I always find myself more attracted to the colourful ones. And this week Elle Magazine made a selection of the best printed pants out there so I have to share with you my favourites:

Would you wear it?

I have to confess that I can't resist the attraction of orange. I am not Dutch, but I might as well be one since orange items of clothing are very popular in my closet. From this pair of pants to the pumps that I have from two seasons ago, I love wearing bright colours in the summer time and if you add a print on top, I am sold. So this outfit is my definition of casual and fun.  No special occasion needed to be bright, colourful and comfortable.

The goods

Top: Mango, from last season, but similar here.
Trousers: Zara
Wedges: Zara, last season, but similar here  here and here
Accessories: Vintage Bracelet, H&M necklace.

Summer couple look

Last Sunday we went out for a coffee near our house and one of our friends took the below pictures of me and Traian. We have a lot of pictures of places we see but very few of the two of us, and very few that we actually like. So when I saw this ones I was extremely pleased, even more because Traian and I have somehow managed to wear matching outfits. Thank you, Vali! You made this girl very happy!

Would you wear it?

One of my favourite colour combinations is orange with purple. And when I saw this blouse from Romanian designer Adrian Oianu, I knew I had to have it. You create the outfit around it because it just  stands out. Pairing it with a black and white stripe skirt may seem too much, but I think it just makes the whole outfit look so put together. I would wear it on a fancy date night. What do you think? Inspired or not so much?

Blouse: Adrian Oianu Design
Skirt: Dixie
Clutch: Zara
Jewellery: Banana Republic bracelet, Sattelite Paris earrings and ring

Look of the week

Wanna know what my wardrobe hides?! I ask because I have that curiosity quite often about other people...Oups! And since I am not anymore at the age where I can swap clothes with my best friends, I have to settle for my own closet. And I don't have a walk in closet, but still, I have my share of clothes. I especially realise that when I have to pack for a trip and I struggle to decide on my outfits and avoid overpacking. With this in mind, I decided to start a new series of posts where I put together items from my own wardrobe in an outfit that I would wear. This way I see the full potential of my closet and maybe I can give you some ideas on what to wear and where to find the goods.

Here it is my holiday outfit that would be perfect for a summer day, when you take your camera for a stroll and you enjoy the surroundings.  I love the sailor stripes and in a maxi dress they are just a winner.

Wedges: Aldo similar this ones
Sunglasses: Prada
Jewellery: Mango necklace , H&M bracelet
Hat: H&M (old) but back this season

My Favorite Winter Coat

Every winter I look for a new coat. It has to keep me warm, to look good and to be a bit different that the ones I have already in my closet. This year I went for a Zara coat, that has that biker look, so popular this season. I love the cut, the zip side closure, the collar and the leather effect combination sleeves. I wear it every day and feel incredibly stylish. What do you think?

Romanian Design

1st of December is the Romanian National Day and we celebrated it yesterday with a party that was combined with two of our friends birthday. It was very special because I also got this great dress made by a very talented Romanian designer, Adrian Oianu. His latest project, "The Romanian T-shirt"  had a ethnic theme and it was inspired by the traditional Romanian costume. All the creations mimic the comfort, lightness and femininity clearly outlined in the traditional white shirt. The details on the T-shirt are all very old and are handmade. We have a very old and beautiful national costume and to get to wear such a special design on our national day made me feel very proud. It is just so cool when designers find inspiration in the traditions of your nation.

What do you think? Would you wear an ethic design inspired outfit? Are you proud of your national heritage?

Yellow Day

This is what I wore on a rainy day. Yellow to bright up a cloudy day. Have a good one!
