Christmas Lights

For some of you this week was all about Thanksgiving, but for us in Zurich, it was the official opening of the Christmas season. On Thursday evening, Christmas lights were turned on for the first time. The city got a makeover and has now been prepared for the upcoming holidays. Christmas shopping may begin, all the stores have added this festive glow to their image and in the streets you can smell the cinnamon and the Glühwein (hot drink made of red or white wine with different spices...delicious). I love getting ready for Christmas, thinking what presents to get to everyone, deciding on the decorations and just feeling the joy of having everyone you love close to you. Because besides all the material stuff, I love how everyone chills during the holiday, we put everything on hold and just relax...

Aren't the light on the Bahnhofstrasse oh so pretty this year? We were there for the Samichlaus parade on Sunday, so so pretty.

Thanks, girls!

Elisa, I love the lights on Bahnhofstrasse too. I didn't knew about the parade. You have to make a calendar of the events in Zurich on your blog :)
